Nick Cage delivers an excellent performance (for once) in Werner Herzog’s Bad Lieutenant.
The film is flawed - its starts off slow and dull before becoming cliche ridden - but watching Cage’s descent into drug addled madness is is humorous, entertaining stuff, that is complimented well by Herzog’s equally delirious direction.
